I have been in private practice as a massage therapist since 2010. I am a graduate of the East West Therapeutic Bodywork Program at Centerpoint Massage & Shiatsu Therapy School and Clinic - with over 1200 hours of training in eastern and western sciences, massage, and shiatsu. In 2017 I completed the Spinning Babies Integral Touch of Birth training, and Carole Osborne's Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy training. I am currently studying Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Unwinding with Dr. Carol Phillips. I am a lifelong student of the human body's capacity to change, integrate, expand, express, give birth, let go, and heal.
I believe in our body's wisdom to heal itself. I work to honor and facilitate that wisdom to the best of my ability. Bodywork is a powerful tool for bringing focus and attention to what our bodies are communicating. I work with clients to encourage fuller awareness of and interest in their experience of living in a body.
I am also a certified birth doula, CD(DONA). It is my great honor to accompany birthing people and their families as they bring babies to the world. I make myself available as an emotional, physical, and informational support. I make myself available as a listener. I am observant, and intuitive. I strive to empower birthing people to ask for what they want in the birthing process, and to help them integrate the changes of plan that sometimes happen along the way. I am a former doula intern at the Minnesota Birth Center. I support all birthing people, all kinds of births. I support hospital births, home births, and birth-center births. I support all family configurations, all races, and all genders. I believe being pregnant, giving birth, and welcoming a child to the world are some of the most profound actions a human being can do. It is my goal to offer the support needed for people to be fully present in the birth process and make this journey their own.
I live in South Minneapolis with my partner of 16 years, our 3 year old child, and our sweet rascal of a dog.
Sliding Pay Scale
I have a sliding pay scale because I hope to make bodywork and Doula services more accessible to more people. If paying at the lower end of the scale enables you to schedule bodywork more often or receive the pregnancy and labor support you need, please do that for yourself. If you are able to pay at the higher end of the scale you can know that you are helping make it possible for someone else to receive a service at a rate they can better afford.
